Are you an experienced Technical Architect with a passion for Modern Workplace technologies and helping customers solve complex business challenges? We're looking for a Technical Architect – Workplace Platforms to join Computacenter's growing Workplace Practice, delivering innovative Microsoft-based solutions to some of the UK's largest public and defence sector organisations. As a senior member of the team, you'll play a key role in shaping workplace transformation strategies, supporting major customer programmes, and driving technical excellence across both pre-sales and delivery engagements.
What you'll do:
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale workplace solutions.
- Act as a technical authority, providing governance and assurance across in-flight projects.
- Support customer strategy and opportunity discussions, presenting solutions from both a technical and business perspective.
- Own the creation of technical solutions, pre-sales responses, and associated cost models.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the remediation of complex bids and delivery engagements where challenges arise.
- Provide leadership and guidance to consultants and project teams throughout delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered consistently using Agile and Prince2 methodologies.
- Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer outcomes through additional services and solutions.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Workplace Practice capabilities and offerings.
What you'll need:
- Significant experience designing and delivering Modern Workplace solutions within enterprise environments.
- Strong experience leading solution design, technical governance, and costing activities.
- Excellent customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience presenting solutions to both technical and business audiences.
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Experience working within public sector, defence, or highly regulated environments.
- Strong experience across several of the following technologies:
- Microsoft Intune
- Windows 11
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Defender Suite
- Microsoft XDR
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
Additional experience in any of the following would be highly beneficial:
- Azure and Windows Server
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365
- Citrix Workspace and VMware Horizon
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange and SharePoint)
- JamF and Apple Device Management
- Workspace ONE
