The Data Center & Hybrid business within Computacenter helps customers design, deploy and operate world class infrastructure to support their applications, data and business outcomes. As part of our ambition to become Europe’s leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services, we are expanding our Private Cloud capability and are looking for an exceptional Presales Solution Lead to play a pivotal role in that journey. Computacenter is one of only two partners accredited by VMware to deliver services on their behalf. This role focuses on identifying, shaping and proposing Private Cloud solutions for customers embarking on significant infrastructure and cloud transformation programmes.

What you'll do:

  • Leading the technical engagement on complex Private Cloud and data centre transformation opportunities
  • Qualifying customer requirements and shaping end to end solutions based on VMware technologies and Computacenter services
  • Acting as the principal technical champion for the VMware ecosystem within Computacenter
  • Building long term, trusted relationships with senior technical and business stakeholders
  • Supporting pipeline growth and contributing directly to sales success for the Data Center & Hybrid Solution Area
  • Scoping, defining and enabling services engagements, including the draw down of VMware services via customer entitlements
  • Influencing the evolution of vendor propositions and Private Cloud strategy in collaboration with Group Development and the Office of the CTO
  • Representing Computacenter at VMware partner boards, forums and industry events, acting as a technical escalation point where required
  • Collaborating across Professional Services, Managed Services, Solution Leaders and Architects to deliver integrated customer outcomes
  • Providing market, proposition and competitive insight from VMware to support sales and solution positioning
  • Feeding real world customer challenges back into solution development to ensure offerings remain relevant and compelling
  • Working with marketing teams to translate technical propositions into clear, customer facing messaging
  • Supporting the development of sales enablement materials, training and internal education related to Private Cloud and VMware

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience owning customer relationships from a technical or presales standpoint
  • Deep technical expertise and strong relationships within the VMware ecosystem
  • Experience designing innovative customer solutions aligned to vendor platforms
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop revenue opportunities
  • Experience positioning and selling professional services alongside technology solutions
  • Demonstrable experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 5/9)
  • Active involvement in the VMware community (e.g. VMUG, vExpert, or similar)
