Hatfield, Nottingham or Milton Keynes (full-time in office)Must be SC Cleared, or willingness to undertakeWhat you’ll doWe are seeking a 3rd Line Cloud Engineer to support and deliver Azure platform services for enterprise customers. The role focuses on the operational management of Azure environments, working closely with internal teams and customers to maintain, improve, and support production cloud infrastructure across compute, networking, storage and native cloud services.The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure services, a proven background supporting large corporate environments, and the ability to operate effectively within an agile, service-oriented team. This role involves contributing to platform stability, implementing continuous improvements, and ensuring reliable, high-quality support for enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure while collaborating closely with senior team members and stakeholders.Perform root cause analysis, investigation, diagnosis, and reporting of cloud-related issues.Monitor and optimize Azure environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security.Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and infrastructure issues.Create and maintain detailed documentation for processes, configurations, and procedures.Participate in on-call support outside business hours (additional compensation provided).Strong expertise in Azure IaaS services (Compute, Storage & Networking).Experience with Azure networking: VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Route Tables, Network Interfaces.Knowledge of hybrid connectivity including ExpressRoute and VNet Gateways.Hands-on experience with Azure Storage Accounts, Snapshots, and Backup/Recovery Services Vaults.Experience implementing private connectivity using Private Endpoints and Private DNS Zones.Experience managing Azure ARC-enabled resources in hybrid environments.Non-technical requirementsProactive mindset focused on improving efficiency by reducing manual effort through automation.Ability to help drive continuous process improvements.AdvantageousPrevious exposure to Azure DevOps & Terraform (Repositories, Pipelines, YAML)Managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelinesProficiency with Azure CLI, PowerShell, and automation scriptingMicrosoft AZ-104 - Azure AdministratorTerraform AssociateThis role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, contributing to the success of enterprise-level cloud projects while enhancing technical expertise in Cloud Technologies.We help our customers to source, transform and manage their technology infrastructure to deliver digital transformation, enabling people and their business.As a Disability Confident Committed employer, we offer a guaranteed interview scheme.
