This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced HR leader who wants to operate at the heart of business strategy, not alongside it. As Lead Business Partner, you will partner closely with senior Executive stakeholders to shape and deliver people strategies that enable business performance, transformation and sustainable growth across an international Managed Services Business unit.
You will bring strong commercial judgement, a deep understanding of how people decisions drive business outcomes, and the confidence to challenge, influence and lead at senior level.
What you’ll do
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, earning and maintaining a credible voice at Executive leadership level.
- Demonstrate curiosity and critical thinking to understand the broader business context and the wider impact of decisions.
- Build strong relationships across international business areas, influencing leaders and helping them make commercially sound people decisions.
- Use coaching and facilitation skills to enable effective decision-making and creative, pragmatic solutions.
- Provide constructive challenge and feedback to stakeholders and the HR team; confidently challenge the status quo.
- As a member of the HR Leadership Team, partner with your peers to set a consistent, high-quality approach, embed best practice, and lead complex projects.
- Collaborate as part of the HR Leadership Team to identify priorities that will support Computacenter’s strategic objectives.
- Maintain a strategic focus by delegating operational activity; provide guidance, support and empower the global HR team.
- Connect and interpret information across the business to identify implications of change, risks, synergies, consolidation, and offshore/nearshore opportunities.
- Develop and deliver people plans aligned to business priorities and strategy.
- Use data and insights to inform business decisions and measure impact.
- Actively seek external perspectives by attending workshops and virtual sessions, sharing best practice and insights across the organisation.
- Lead global programmes from inception to successful completion.
- Lead, direct and develop HR Business Partners and HR Managers, creating clarity, confidence and accountability across the team.
- Coach and support direct reports and virtual teams, helping them operate strategically while delivering at pace.
- Identify and develop successors, creating opportunities for team members to stretch, lead initiatives and build capability.
- Set clear objectives and maintain meaningful performance and development conversations around aspirations, challenges and career growth.
- Play an active role in the global HR Leadership Team, continually improving the HR function for the business.
- Stay close to business change, understanding both live activity and future direction across an international landscape.
- Ensure HR is involved early in transformation activity, contributing to programme planning, design and delivery.
- Own the HR workstream for complex change initiatives, enabling effective engagement and delivery through HRBP and HRM teams.
- Partner with leaders on operating model decisions at local, country and group level, including offshoring, rightsizing, investment and acquisitions.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience operating as a senior HR Director or HR leader within the IT, technology or tech-enabled services industry.
- Experience within managed services or a complex service-led environment would be highly beneficial.
- A strong track record of working internationally is essential, with the cultural awareness and stakeholder management skills to lead across countries and business areas.
- Strong business acumen and commercial mindset, with the ability to understand business strategy and translate it into people priorities.
- Confidence influencing senior stakeholders, constructively challenging thinking and providing sound, pragmatic advice.
- Ability to use data, insight and external perspective to inform decisions and demonstrate impact.
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing HR teams in a global or matrixed environment.
- Strong change management, transformation and programme delivery capability.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust, simplify complexity and engage at all levels.
