Overview
In this on-site role, you provide hands-on desktop support within a busy customer environment, resolving incidents and handling service requests to deliver a high-quality user experience. You work closely with Level 3 teams to address major issues and support project tasks for internal and external stakeholders. The role combines hardware, software, and network troubleshooting to keep devices and peripherals functioning smoothly. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on reliable, timely IT support and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Handle incident and request tasks
- 2nd line incident resolution to SLA
- Maintain <2>
- Complete assigned work within timescales
- Support project tasks for internal/external Project Managers
- Undertake non-standard requests within agreed timescales
- Coordinate with Level 3 teams for major issues
- Resolve issues for laptops/desktops, networks, printers, etc.
- Install and configure software and hardware
Key requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 (build, config, registry)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of SCCM/Active Directory
- Networking knowledge (LAN/WAN/VLAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE, VPN)
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and IM tools
- Peripherals support (printers, displays, docking stations, etc.)
- ITSM software familiarity (ServiceNow)
- Excellent customer interface and service skills
- Some flexibility with working hours
- Full UK Driving Licence
- SC Cleared or able to obtain SC Clearance
