The Endpoint Build and Configuration Service provides comprehensive, end-to-end management for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and servers across both cloud and on-premises environments.
It includes device enrolment, policy enforcement, and 3rd line technical support for complex issues. Leveraging tools such as MECM, Azure, Intune, Workspace ONE, and DevOps, the service standardises operating system builds, ensures hardware compatibility, and manages configuration settings across client and server platforms. Regular compliance assessments align environments with Computacenter’s technical and security standards for Windows 10+ and Windows Server, identifying and addressing any deviations.
Delivered through a structured, project-based model, the service ensures a secure, scalable, and consistent device estate tailored to meet customer requirements.
What you\’ll do
In this role as a 3rd Line Mobile Device Management Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the mobile operating system deployments, configurations and support for a specific managed service customer. Mobile device support is delivered using cloud-based management tools (Workspace ONE, JAMF, Apple Business Manager, Android Enterprise Manager, Samsung KNOX etc…)
You will oversee the end-to-end execution of the enrolment, configuration, and in-life support of mobile devices. This includes iOS\\Android OS releases, policy management, configuration management, and post-deployment support where required when 2nd level analysts are unable to resolve.
Working closely with the Build Project Coordinator, you will liaise with internal technical teams, customer stakeholders, 3rd party vendors, and service management functions to ensure aligned delivery, transparency, and issue resolution throughout the mobile lifecycle. The role requires strong coordination skills, managing incident queues and SLA’s, deep technical knowledge of mobile automation tools, and a commitment to delivering secure, standardised, and high-quality end-to-end mobile services.
