Life on the team:
Customer Enablement is part of the “Delivery” function of GIS and is responsible for managing and delivering GIS tooling solutions that underpin our customer contractual services. From welcoming new customers, navigating complex changes, enabling renewals and seamless offboarding, our team is at the centre of driving the tooling required in all these opportunities. We thrive on collaboration, working together with colleagues across GIS, GMS, GTS, and GPS to assure our tooling designs provide the right customer outcomes and are delivered on time. Our partnerships spark fresh ideas and continuous improvements, but we always keep the customer at the heart of every decision. Our work is dynamic, varied, and full of opportunities to make a real impact for our customers and the wider business.
This role reports to the Head of Solutions within Customer Enablement, but you’ll be part of a global direct team and actively contribute to the wider GIS community. This is a dynamic and varied role where no two days are the same. This role offers a real opportunity to shape solutions, accelerate transitions, and make a visible impact for customers and colleagues.
What you’ll do:
- Pre-Sales engagements: You’ll engage on various pre-sales supporting Computacenter’s bid process, balancing customer, business, and technology needs to deliver effective tooling solutions.
- Make the complex simple: Translate customer requirements into actionable designs; communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical audiences; keep leadership informed with timely insight.
- Raise the bar on standards: Champion our standards, provide commercial clarity and adoption discipline. Drive the change and adaption of the standards with the product owners.
- Coaching and Support: Provide guidance and support to the wider team to enhance knowledge, strengthen consultancy skills and support the delivery of pre-sales and projects.
- Continuous Improvement: You’ll have a focus on optimisation to reduce costs and timelines against the tooling configuration, delivering greater value for our customers and the business.
- Drive stakeholder collaboration: You’ll build and nurture strong relationships with senior stakeholders ensuring our team remains connected to our services and that we identify emerging trends. You’ll also engage with GIS Strategic Business Partners, providing the insight they need to address challenges and respond to new business requirements.
- Manage Escalations: You’ll be a key escalation point for the solutions team; you’ll play a vital role in managing relationships and following through on both the resolution of complex issues and the delivery of successful outcomes for our stakeholders.
- Insight: Contribute to the team reporting ensuring that key stakeholders have appropriate insight into escalations, initiatives, developing patterns and themes.
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience from service transition or technical product delivery within a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to challenge constructively to keep customer outcomes on track.
- A customer‑first mindset, crisp communication, and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Either a good understanding of the contractual services Computacenter offers (PS, GTS or GMS) or a technical understanding of the tools that underpin these services.
- Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail, and distil complex information into clear summaries for senior stakeholders.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and a willingness to dive into technical discussions and detail.
- Good working knowledge of Industry frameworks (ITIL, SAFe, DevOps).
