Site ENG | Job-ID: 213919 | Contract type: Standard | Business Unit: System Engineering & Technicians Life on the team Here at Computacenter, the Technical Resource Group (TRG) specialises in delivering intermediate to advanced desktop installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting services. Additionally, we provide basic Wintel installation, configuration, administration, and break-fix solutions. In this role, you’ll deliver hands-on technical IT support to one of our key customers, who operate across multiple UK sites this role is based in Wrexham. If you have a passion for IT, along with some knowledge of desktop/laptop technologies and Windows operating systems, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! What you’ll do As an IT Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining IT services and equipment within your assigned Hub and surrounding spokes. Your key responsibilities will include: Electronic ticket processing in the tool Responsible for 1st and 2nd level support requests/tasks Responsible for the support, delivery of PCs, laptops and tablets Physical connection and hardware setup Carrying out software installations according to instruction documents Solving pre-qualified defects (hardware and software) Carrying out IT hardware relocations within a site What you’ll need You have initial experience in hardware and software rollout Knowledge in the support of Windows PCs / laptops Knowledge of standard software: Windows Office, O365, Google Suite You are willing to learn more about new technologies and applications Driving license (Car) recommendable. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
