Life on the team
You’ll join a collaborative IT Operations team where IT Asset Management plays a strategic role in controlling cost, reducing risk, and supporting business decisions. The team works closely with procurement, finance, security, and technical teams, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, data quality, and doing things efficiently and effectively.
What you’ll do
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware and software assets
- Maintain accurate asset and CMDB data using ITAM and ITSM tools
- Ensure compliance with software licensing, governance, and regulatory requirements
- Support internal and external audits and risk mitigation activities
- Analyse asset usage to identify cost optimisation opportunities
- Produce clear reporting on inventory, compliance, usage, and financial impact
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and vendor discussions with data-driven insights
- Improve ITAM processes, standards, and automation
- Act as a subject matter expert for ITAM tools and CMDB processes
- Assist with testing of tooling integrations and CMDB-related processes
What you’ll need
- Ability to obtain or hold UK Government Security Clearance
- 3+ years’ experience in IT Asset Management or a related discipline
- Experience with ITSM/ITAM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Remedy, Snow)
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and software licensing models
- Knowledge of hardware lifecycle management and vendor contracts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
Desirable: ITIL 4, ServiceNow certifications, managed service experience, CMDB expertise, and process improvement experience.
