Life on the team:

Group Commercial Finance provides Business Partnering services to our Group Operating Model management teams and locations. Our mission statement is to enable the business to achieve a better outcome.

The team consists primarily of Finance Business Partners covering our businesses in the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, and offshore service centres (such as Spain, Hungary, Poland, etc).

Partnering with our Sales Division, you will work with several key stakeholders focusing on forecasting and supporting the development of cost models for Computacenter’s technology systems.

This role is ideal for candidates with a background in commercial or financial roles and strong analytical skills.

What you’ll do:

1. Provide high-level consultancy within your specialist area to peers, customers, and, if applicable, direct reports.
2. Manage and implement projects relevant to your specialist area.
3. Manage, develop, and coach a matrix team of staff, implementing performance management solutions where required.
4. Develop and motivate the matrix team to help ensure the delivery of function and business targets.
5. Assess situations, issues, and opportunities, escalating when appropriate.
6. Act as a point of escalation on complex issues, providing appropriate support to other team members.
7. Maintain confidentiality in all business-related matters.
8. Liaise with colleagues to ensure best practices and continual improvement in service delivery to the business.
9. Establish productive relationships and networks at the Senior Management level to build and maintain customer relationships.
10. Manage budget/P&L to maintain spend in line with budgetary limitations.
11. Adopt CC best practices and service offerings to ensure consistency of service.
12. Make decisions impacting the success of assigned projects, including results, deadlines, and budget.

What you’ll need:

1. Fully qualified in a relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
2. Advanced academic background, preferably to a good degree level or equivalent.
3. Proven track record of work experience in a challenging commercial environment.
4. Demonstrated commercial acumen.
5. Good working knowledge of relevant functional systems.
6. Experience in dealing with and influencing multi-tier management.
7. Experience developing best practice policies and procedures for your functional area.
8. Experience working within a global company.
