The Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) provides specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during complex cardiovascular operations
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Prepare, maintain, and operate specialized surgical equipment and instruments
- Ensure adherence to AORN standards, infection control, and hospital safety protocols
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records
- Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and postoperative care
- Collaborate with surgical team members to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (state-specific or compact license)
