JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing safe and effective speech-language pathology and dysphagia services by implementing appropriate evaluation, treatment, and education designed to meet the identified communication and swallowing needs of the patient.

Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, families/caregivers, and team members.

Promotes teamwork.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Rehabilitation teams evaluate and treat patients with injuries or conditions that have caused either a decline in self-care, physical mobility or functional independence.

The speech therapy teams evaluate and treat those experiencing difficulty with speech sounds, language, voice, swallowing, and cognition (memory, attention, and problem solving).

Care is provided to adult patients with a wide variety of diagnoses in both the acute and outpatient settings.

  • Current unencumbered Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Compliance from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association, or active participant in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
