JOB SUMMARY
The Cath Lab Tech will work within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during a variety of cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic angiograms, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional techniques.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including patient education and skin preparation.
- Operate and maintain specialized cardiac catheterization equipment, including GE Innova systems.
- Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures.
- Administer medications and contrast agents as directed by the physician.
- Scrub for procedures requiring sterile technique.
- Ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available and functional for each procedure.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in the EMR system.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Respond effectively during emergency situations.
