JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated GI/Endo Technician to join our team.
This role supports diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient patient care environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of gastrointestinal procedures and equipment, along with excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment, including scopes, light sources, processors, and accessories.
- Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures (e. g., colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, ERCPs).
- Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopic equipment according to established protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment for the endoscopy suite.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during preparation, procedure, and recovery phases.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate as needed.
- SCHEDULE / SHIFT

- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training/experience.
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control principles.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience as an Endoscopy Technician or Surgical Technologist in an endoscopy setting.
- Familiarity with various types of endoscopic procedures and instrumentation.
CERTIFICATIONS
- Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
EXPERIENCE
