The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Compton is kick starting a brand-new Business Rates service, taking advantage of the strong, modern brand which has been created. You will be coming in to help build on this success in a number 2 position in the department. The role represents a unique opportunity to help establish the team, mould the department's processes and grow towards the future. You will have direct input and opportunity in the growth of this team, and yourself.
The rates advisory service will be an integral part of the business, and there will be huge numbers of leads coming from highly reputable businesses already working with others in the business.
Job spec- Initially take ownership of the CCA process internally, producing and managing appeal workload
- Build framework arguments and appeal strategies on “standard” and complex case work
- Collaborate on marketing materials and social media engagement (comfortable in front of camera is preferred but not necessary)
- Create a pipeline of strong fee generating work and help drive business development
- Help build a client base for current and ongoing appeals and rating list
- Provide client reports and forecasting as requested
- Assist clients with accruals and budgeting
- Collaborate on new revenue streams
- Keep abreast of changing case law
- Build strong relationships with the Council’s and Valuation Office
- Bring new ideas to the table, and spot opportunities
- Help hire and build the team
- MRICS qualified
- Experience working in a rating advisory firm
- Track record of CCA work
- Proven track record of building and developing client relationships
- Excellent negotiation skills when dealing with the Valuation Office Agency
