This is a unique opportunity to use your relationship-building skills to secure transformational support for people living with life-limiting conditions. Joining our ambitious fundraising team, you'll help grow major donor and corporate partnerships that directly fund vital care across our communities.

What we do

At Compton Care, we believe everyone deserves outstanding care and support when facing a life-limiting condition. Every day, we help individuals and families across Wolverhampton, the Black Country, South Staffordshire and East Shropshire live well, with dignity, comfort and compassion.

As an independent charity, it costs £16 million each year to provide our services, with around 70% of this funded through the generosity of our supporters, fundraising activities and retail operation. Every partnership, donation and fundraising initiative helps us continue delivering vital care when it matters most.

What will you do

This is an exciting time to join Compton Care. As we continue to grow and invest in our fundraising ambitions, we're looking for an experienced and driven fundraiser to help unlock new opportunities and build meaningful relationships with major donors and corporate partners.

In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in expanding our philanthropy and corporate partnerships programme. You'll identify, inspire and secure support from individuals and organisations who share our commitment to making a difference in local communities.

Working alongside a passionate and supportive fundraising team, you'll develop a strong pipeline of prospects, create compelling opportunities for engagement and turn conversations into long-term partnerships that have a lasting impact on the people we support.

This flexible, part-time role offers the opportunity to shape and grow an important area of fundraising while balancing other commitments.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is passionate about relationship building and motivated by making a genuine difference. You'll have:

  • Proven success in major donor, philanthropy, corporate fundraising or relationship management.
  • Experience securing new income and developing long-term supporter relationships.
  • Outstanding communication and networking skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into sustainable support.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine talent for inspiring others to support a cause.
  • A passion for the work of Compton Care and the difference great fundraising can make.

What you’ll get in return

As well as the opportunity to make a real difference every day, you'll benefit from:

  • Generous annual leave entitlement, increasing with length of service.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
  • Ongoing learning, development and career progression opportunities.
  • Employee Assistance Programme and 24/7 GP access.
  • Blue Light Card membership and access to a wide range of discounts.
  • Death in service benefit of two times salary.
  • Free onsite parking at Compton Hall.
  • A supportive and inclusive team culture where your contribution is truly valued.
