Palliative Care Assistant (Health Care Assistant)

Location: Wolverhampton, WV3 9DH

Hours: 2 posts at 34.5 hours & 1 post at 30 hours per week (rotational shifts day and night)

Salary: £25,102 pro-rata

Compton Care provide high quality, accessible care and support. For over 40 years we have been providing specialist palliative and end of life care to patients, and support for their families, helping them to navigate every aspect of living with a life limiting condition.

In delivering our mission Compton Care is proud of our standing at the forefront in providing care and support through several dedicated but also interlinked service including our inpatient unit, community care, our living well centre, and supportive care services.

What will you do?

As a Palliative Care Assistant, you will provide accessible, innovative, and influential care for people living with complex and incurable conditions in our communities as well as supporting their families and carers. You will participate in delivering healthcare to patients and providing emotional and psychological support, working in partnership with the patient and in collaboration with internal colleagues.

What we want you to bring.

You will have experience of providing care in a health or social setting and hold an NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent.

You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to be compassionate and sensitive towards our service users and colleagues.

You should also be able to use IT packages such as Word and Excel.
