Senior Palliative Care Assistant (Senior Healthcare Assistant)
As a Senior Palliative Care Assistant, you will provide accessible, innovative, and influential care for people living with complex and incurable conditions in our communities as well as supporting their families and carers.You will participate in delivering healthcare to patients and providing emotional and psychological support, working in partnership with the patient and in collaboration with internal colleagues and the external health community.
Main duties of the job
You will need experience of providing care in a health or social setting along with an NVQ level 3 in care or equivalent. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skill and be able to demonstrate the ability to be compassionate and sensitive towards our service users and your colleagues.You should be able to use IT and be familiar with packages such as Word and Excel.Please refer to the full Job Description for further details and requirements for the role.
