We are a multi-Emmy-winning animation, motion & VFX studio looking for a Production Assistant to join the growing in-house team in our Dalston studio.

We are looking for a motivated and organised early-career individual to assist our production team and studio of artists as they work on a range of exciting projects. As a studio, we have a focus on in-show graphics and VFX for documentary films and series, but our work also expands to game cinematic, title sequences, and fiction. The Production Assistant will assist in the smooth running of all projects and maintain the general upkeep of the office and our digital file organisation systems. This is a role for someone who is flexible and eager to try their hand at a range of tasks, as the day-to-day task list will be quite varied. We would also be particularly keen on someone who enjoys editing, as the role will involve editing showreels.

Candidate responsibilities and requirements:

  • Editing showreels, cutting guides, and watermarking files using the Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, etc)
  • Using the Google Suite to create and manage spreadsheets and file management systems
  • Sending and receiving files via WeTransfer, Frame.io, Google Drive, and other popular file sharing platforms
  • Checking graphics files against client notes to spot render errors and missed feedback
  • Basic copywriting ability
  • Creating bespoke and template pitch decks
  • Optimising file foldering systems and production pipeline
  • Communicating with clients via email in a polite, efficient, and clear manner
  • Answering the phone on behalf of the company
  • Taking and writing up clear and concise meeting notes
  • Collating visual references from projects and pitches
  • Planning and scheduling social media posts across Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Creating newsletters via Mailchimp to showcase the studio's work
  • Research and outreach to potential new clients to expand our client base
  • Research and outreach to press outlets that may write about the studio's work
  • Managing awards submissions
  • General office upkeep (washing cutlery, filling up hot and cold water dispensers, keeping shared spaces neat and organised, collecting packages and letters from the post room)
  • Shopping for food, drinks, and supplies for a small studio

Knowledge of the animation and VFX pipeline is ideal. This role is for an early-career candidate. Some production experience is required, but we are open to a variety of experience types, from studio work to self-produced work.
