Operations Manager

About Us:

Component Process & Repair Limited based in Bognor Regis West Sussex is a specialist gas turbine repair and overhaul company and due to a growing order book and several high value contracts are seeking to fill a number of positions including a new Operations Manager.

\\n

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager who will report directly to the Managing Director and be a vital member of the management team.

\\n

They will provide inspired leadership for the operations organisation and maintain high levels of quality standards for products, productivity and efficiency that they are responsible for. As Operations Manager, you will also have responsibility for leading, developing and motivating the operations team.

\\n

In addition, the Operations Manager will oversee and maintain compliance for the management of labour, policy decisions, including, quality and OHS

\\n

The Role:

\\n

Responsibilities but not limited to:

\\n

    \\n
  • Responsible for monthly and annual sales output
  • \\n

  • Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and 5S program
  • \\n

  • Liaison with customers to provide weekly updates on delivery
  • \\n

  • Organising and planning daily, weekly, and monthly output plans
  • \\n

  • Analysis of operational KPI’s to ensure a culture of continuous improvement
  • \\n

  • Managing stock control and stock levels
  • \\n

  • Responsible for all consumable expenditure within agreed budgets
  • \\n

  • Ability to lead, manage, mentor and develop approximately 20 off direct operational staff.
  • \\n

  • To compile and report at monthly management team briefings all operational KPI’s.
  • \\n

  • To ensure all activities are in compliance with work instructions and quality control requirements.
  • \\n

  • Responsible for ensuring operations staff comply with all Health and Safety Systems and controls.
  • \\n

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or operations management experience within the aerospace or process environment.

  • Training in conflict management, business negotiation and business applications.
  • \\n

  • Strong MS Office skills and associated operations software packages
  • \\n

\\n

A Successful candidate:

\\n

    \\n
  • Ideally will have worked and managed within a Gas Turbine Repair environment, although experience as an Operations Manager in manufacturing / engineering environment will be considered.
  • \\n

  • Ability to improve our manufacturing processes.
  • \\n

  • Ability to develop a positive, forward-looking culture in the operations environment.
  • \\n

  • Proven track record in reducing lead-time, whilst increasing quality.
  • \\n

  • Project management and planning experience
  • \\n

  • Commercially aware with a proficient level of financial controls
  • \\n

  • Experience in interfacing with direct and end customers
  • \\n
