As Staff Product Manager, you'll own the product strategy and roadmap for critical application capabilities that power our flagship products. This is a senior individual contributor role where you'll drive shared services like authentication, notifications, workflow engines, and user management systems that enable our product teams to deliver exceptional experiences without reinventing foundational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute product strategy for enabling services, ensuring our shared application capabilities evolve to meet the diverse needs of multiple product teams.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with your dedicated engineering squad to deliver robust, reusable services that accelerate product development.
- Partner with Principal Product Managers to understand flagship product requirements and translate them into scalable enabling service capabilities.
- Define service boundaries and interfaces, ensuring enabling services are intuitive to integrate while maintaining appropriate abstraction levels.
- Establish service metrics and quality standards, measuring adoption, reliability, and impact on product team velocity.
- Drive user experience consistency across products by providing well-designed shared components and services.
- Conduct internal discovery with product teams to identify common patterns and opportunities for shared services.
- Balance standardization with flexibility, ensuring services meet common needs while allowing product-specific customization.
- Create comprehensive documentation and integration guides that enable product teams to quickly adopt and effectively use enabling services.
- Stay current with industry patterns for shared services, microservices architecture, and application design to inform service evolution.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of product management experience with at least 2 years in senior IC roles owning shared services or application platforms.
- Demonstrated success building reusable services adopted by multiple teams, with clear impact on development efficiency.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, API design, and service-oriented patterns.
- Experience balancing competing needs from multiple internal stakeholders while maintaining service coherence.
- Track record of driving adoption of shared services through excellent documentation, developer experience, and stakeholder management.
- Expertise in defining service boundaries and managing dependencies in complex systems.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree a plus.

- In 12 months: You've established a coherent enabling services strategy with high adoption across product teams. Teams actively seek your services rather than building custom solutions, and you're recognized as a key accelerator of product delivery.
