ComplyAdvantage provides an AI platform that helps thousands of businesses worldwide detect and prevent money laundering, payment fraud, and other financial crimes - stopping criminal funds from moving through the financial system. Our Financial Strategy team sits at the centre of how the business plans, invests, and grows, working directly with the CFO and Board. We're looking for a technically strong senior individual contributor to join us on a three month fixed term contract, providing additional capacity across our budgeting and reporting cycles at a demanding point in the year. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can pick up complex workstreams quickly, work autonomously, and deliver to a high standard from week one. You will report jointly to the Senior Director, Financial Strategy and the Manager, Financial Strategy.

What you will be doing

  • Supporting the monthly reporting cycle, including variance analysis, commentary and preparing outputs for senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process, including producing spreadsheets, consolidating inputs and stress-testing assumptions.
  • Extracting, combining, and reconciling data across finance and commercial systems, and tightening the processes and templates that sit around them.
  • Preparing Board presentations and KPI packs to a high standard of accuracy and presentation.
  • Working alongside the wider Finance team to unblock and absorb work wherever the pressure sits during the cycle.

What we're looking for

  • You're a self‑directed senior FP&A individual contributor who can land quickly in a fast‑moving environment and needs limited hand‑holding.
  • Technically strong. Advanced spreadsheet capabilities and financial analysis skills, able to build robust and easy‑to‑follow spreadsheets that others depend on.
  • Experience. Four or more years in FP&A, with a track record of owning budgeting and reporting workstreams end to end.
  • Process fluency. Familiarity with the mechanics of a budgeting and monthly reporting cycle, and able to spot and fix weak points in a process while running it.
  • Autonomy. You take a brief, ask the right clarifying questions once, and then deliver without needing to be managed through it.
  • Adaptability. Comfortable taking direction from two stakeholders, reprioritising quickly, and switching between workstreams.
  • Financial statements. Strong working knowledge of the three financial statements and accounting methodology.
  • Data fluency. Confident extracting and combining data across multiple systems, and improving how that data flows.
  • Communication. Ability to explain complex topics simply and hold their own with senior stakeholders.
  • Availability. Able to start at short notice and commit to the full three month term.
  • Education. A bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Nice to have

  • SaaS or technology background. Desirable, but not essential, or a track record of thriving in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
  • Systems. Exposure to Google Sheets‑based planning environments, Abacum, Salesforce, Looker or BigQuery, and Light/Xero ERP.
  • AI adoption. You've started applying AI to finance or analytical work, and you're keen to use it here.
