At White Lift Services, we're continuing to grow, and as part of the Complii Group of companies, we're looking for an experienced Lift Technician to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled lift professional to take on a predominantly field-based role, working across a wide range of makes and models to diagnose faults, complete advanced repairs, and ensure our customers' lifts remain safe and operational.

We're looking for a Lift Technician with strong technical capability, excellent problem-solving skills, and the confidence to tackle everything from complex electrical, mechanical, and control-system faults through to advanced repairs and commissioning activities. You'll work across all makes and models of lifts, providing expert technical support on high-priority and challenging jobs while ensuring every task is completed safely, professionally, and in line with current industry standards.

You will play a pivotal role within our engineering team, combining hands-on technical expertise with the ability to support and develop others. From day one, you'll be out in the field working closely with our engineers and management team, attending technically challenging jobs, sharing your knowledge with colleagues, and helping us identify recurring issues and opportunities to continually strengthen engineering capability and performance across White Lift Services.

What you receive for joining us:

  • Excellent salary including 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
  • An additional day off for your birthday.
  • A collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • The opportunity to work closely with senior leaders who value ownership, communication, and customer-focused delivery.

Here is a look at some of the things you will be doing:

  • Carrying out advanced fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs across all makes and models of lifts, resolving complex electrical, mechanical, and control-system issues and completing advanced repairs including the replacement of drives and PCBs and changes to control settings and parameters.
  • Attending high-priority, high-risk, and technically challenging jobs, applying expert judgement to troubleshoot issues and identify safe and effective solutions while providing on-site technical guidance and best-practice support to other engineers when required.
  • Supporting lift modernisation and installation projects, using technical drawings and job specifications to provide engineering input and assisting with commissioning activities while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with current lift regulations, safety standards, and White Lift Services' procedures.
  • Supporting and developing engineers through mentoring, coaching, and practical technical guidance, sharing knowledge to build confidence and capability while identifying recurring technical issues and contributing to continuous improvement across the wider engineering team.

Can you show experience in some of these areas:

  • Significant hands-on experience within the lift industry, with strong technical knowledge across a wide range of lift makes and models and proven experience diagnosing and resolving complex electrical, mechanical, and control-system faults.
  • An NVQ Level 4 qualification in Lift Engineering or a similar relevant qualification would be preferred, although we would consider an experienced NVQ Level 3 qualified candidate who can demonstrate the advanced technical knowledge and capability required for the role.
  • Advanced fault-finding and repair capability, with experience working on components such as drives, PCBs, and lift control systems, combined with strong knowledge of current lift regulations, safety standards, and recognised engineering best practice.
  • Strong communication and people skills, with the confidence to explain technical findings and recommended solutions to management, customers, and colleagues and the ability to mentor, coach, and share technical knowledge with engineers at different levels of experience.

If you feel you have the skills and drive to make an impact, even if you don't meet every requirement above, we'd still love to hear from you.
