Ready to start your career within the unique Fire Protections Sector? At Abbot Fire Group we’re seeking to employ a motivated Trainee Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician to join our growing team. This role does require national travel; however, if you reside in the Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire or Hertfordshire areas, this would be ideal. What you receive for joining us:

  • Salary of £25,369 to £27,000

You will also be required to commit to an Ansul Training Course when the time is right. Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Assist in the service, maintenance, and installations of Ansul kitchen fire suppression systems across customer sites and deliver and install additional company products when required
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing the business professionally, always maintaining confidentiality and upholding company standards
  • Accurately complete all job paperwork, timesheets, and expense submissions within required deadlines, and assist with administration tasks when needed
  • Participate in the on-call rota for in-hours and out-of-hours callouts, travel and stay away when required
  • Support company projects, marketing events, and exhibitions as needed

Can you show experience in some of these areas:

  • Experience is not required; however, a background in a trade such as Plumbing or Electrical would be ideal, as you’ll be assisting with servicing and installing fire protection or suppression systems (full training provided)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time, alongside a proactive approach to customer service and identifying new business opportunities
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake training courses to develop technical knowledge and skills. If you don’t have a driving licence, we may still consider you but will be dependent on your location
  • Flexible approach to extensive travel, working hours, and supporting team members when required
