At Complii we’re hiring a Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our expanding finance team. This is a remote role, so your location isn’t an issue. Experience in bookkeeping and accounts is essential, and previous experience using Xero, Sage 50 and/or Intacct would be highly beneficial. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities across a varied portfolio of businesses, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently. A key part of your role will involve:

  • Reconciling bank transactions, payments and receipts
  • Managing sales and purchase ledgers
  • Supporting credit control processes
  • Preparing supplier payment runs for approval

You will also assist with VAT return preparation, month-end processes, and maintaining financial spreadsheets and internal records. In addition, you will support the wider finance team with administration tasks, respond to internal finance queries, and help improve and maintain efficient finance processes and controls. This is a role that requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively within a busy and evolving business environment.

Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities across varied business portfolios using Xero, Sage 50 and Intacct, while maintaining accurate financial records, reporting schedules, and reconciling bank transactions, payments, and receipts
  • Managing sales and purchase ledgers, supporting credit control and supplier payment processes, and preparing payment runs and banking payments for approval
  • Assisting with VAT return preparation, month-end processes, and maintaining financial spreadsheets, internal records, and finance administration duties
  • Responding to internal finance queries while helping improve and maintain efficient finance processes, controls, and wider administrative support duties

Can you show experience in some of these areas:

  • Previous experience in a senior bookkeeping or similar accounts role, with strong working knowledge of Sage 50, Xero and/or Intacct
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy, alongside strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team
  • A proactive, positive and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive within a busy and evolving business environment
