Stores Person in Droitwich

We’re hiring a Stores Person to join our team at Fire Safe Services Ltd, based at our Droitwich site. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of our busy stores department, ensuring equipment, materials, and stock are accurately managed and allocated to our engineering teams. This role is key to maintaining efficient stock control and supporting the smooth delivery of services across the business. Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll be responsible for regular stock audits, managing inventory levels across a fleet of 30+ vehicles, and ensuring engineers have the equipment they need to carry out their work safely and effectively. You will also support fleet administration and make occasional stock deliveries as required. What you receive for joining us: We’re looking to offering a competitive salary, working Monday to Friday. During training, your hours will be 7:30am to 4:30pm, moving to 7:00am to 4:00pm once training is completed. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, your birthday off, and a company pension scheme. Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing: Oversee stock control activities, monitor inventory levels, manage stock turnover, raise orders using BigChange, and ensure materials and equipment are replenished in a timely manner Conduct regular stock checks and audits, ensuring all allocated equipment is accounted for and accurately assigned to engineers and company vehicles Support the management of a fleet of 30+ vehicles by maintaining stock levels, monitoring equipment allocation, and assisting with vehicle maintenance and repair administration Utilise Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook to maintain accurate records, track inventory and fleet activity, and undertake stock deliveries when required Can you show experience in some of these areas: Do you have previous experience working within a stores, warehouse, inventory, or stock control environment? Are you highly organised with a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment? Can you follow administrative procedures accurately, maintaining reliable records and ensuring equipment and stock are effectively tracked and audited? Do you have a positive, can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and hold a full UK manual driving licence?
