At Complii, we're growing fast, and while this position is initially offered as a Fixed-Term Contract, there is a genuine opportunity for it to become a permanent role for the right person as our business continues to expand. We're looking for an HR Advisor to join our central team and provide a professional, responsive, and commercially focused HR service across the Complii Group. Supporting managers and employees throughout our growing portfolio of businesses, you'll play a key role in delivering expert advice on employee relations, employment legislation, and people processes, while promoting best practice and creating a positive employee experience.
You will play a pivotal role within our HR team, managing a varied employee relations caseload while providing practical advice and coaching to managers across the Group. From day one, you'll work closely with the HR Operations Manager, HR Administrator, and fellow HR Advisor to ensure our people processes are consistent and compliant, while helping us continually improve the HR service we provide as the Group grows.
What you receive for joining us:
- We offer a competitive salary including 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, an additional day off for your birthday, a collaborative and supportive working environment, and the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders who value ownership, communication, and customer-focused delivery.
Here is a look at some of the things you will be doing:
- Managing a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary matters, grievances, absence, performance management, probation reviews, flexible working requests, appeals, and investigations.
- Providing accurate and practical advice to managers on employment law, HR policies, and people processes, coaching them through both formal and informal matters and identifying potential employment risks.
- Supporting HR operations across the employee lifecycle, working collaboratively with the HR team to maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance while ensuring processes are completed consistently and effectively.
- Building strong relationships with managers across the Group, supporting performance, engagement, and employee wellbeing while contributing to HR initiatives, policy development, and continuous improvement.
Can you show experience in some of these areas:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or equivalent HR generalist role, with experience independently managing a range of employee relations cases and supporting managers through people-related issues.
- A strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice, with the ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice while maintaining confidentiality and reducing organisational risk.
- Strong communication, organisational, and case management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, produce accurate documentation, and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- An approachable and solutions-focused style, with the ability to build credibility, influence and coach managers, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute positively to workplace culture; CIPD Level 5 or working towards would be desirable.
If you feel you have the skills and drive to make an impact, even if you don't meet every requirement above, we'd still love to hear from you.
