Here at The Escalator Company, we’re looking for an experienced Escalator Engineer to join our growing team, supporting a portfolio of over 400 escalators and travelators across the UK. We work with major clients including Tesco, Asda, Ikea and many other well-known high street retailers, delivering servicing, inspections, repairs and refurbishment projects nationwide.
This role would suit a qualified Escalator Engineer with a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and expanding organisation.

Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and safety checks on escalators and travelators across our customer portfolio
- Using diagnostic testing to identify faults, defects and malfunctions, then repairing or replacing defective components
- Completing service reports and documentation for each site visited, detailing work completed and any further actions required
- Depending on experience, undertaking escalator and travelator refurbishment work while ensuring all safety procedures are followed on site

- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) or equivalent qualification
- Strong ability to identify and resolve technical, mechanical and re-wiring issues on escalator systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently across multiple sites
