We are seeking a Head of Legal, reporting to the CEO at ComplianceOne Group level. This is a newly created position to manage all aspects of commercial and corporate legal matters for the company. It is essential that the successful candidate is happy to manage the whole legal function from end-to-end and can hit the ground running. This is a London based hybrid / flexible working position.
Your role:
- Be an active business partner to the CEO, continually working to help solutions to take advantage of opportunities to support growth, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Advise the businesses and manage all corporate and commercial legal matters end-to-end.
- Apply business and legal judgement to proposed deals, relationships, and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention.
- Draft, refine and negotiate a wide variety of cross border commercial contracts, including partnership, technology licensing, SaaS and professional service agreements.
- Provide strategic legal advice to the CEO and VPs on a wide variety of areas, including commercial contracts, corporate matters, data protection, intellectual property, employment and disputes.
Preferred Skills:
- UK qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
- Experience of standardisation, process and business improvement.
- Strong structuring, drafting and negotiating skills.
- Strong data protection experience.
- Ability to convey complex legal information in an understandable format.
- Experience in leading and finding risk based solutions to ensure the businesses can undertake complex transactions efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly proactive and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a small start-up environment or the iGaming industry is an advantage.
