We have been exclusively appointed by our Client, a niche Corporate Finance House, to search for a Head of Compliance & MLRO to be the registered SMF16 and SMF17 (within 12 months of appointment) taking responsibility for all Compliance and AML matters. Reporting to the CEO and the Board, duties will include:
- Responsible for all day-to-day compliance activities, administration and reporting.
- Developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures to ensure the firm adheres to its regulatory requirements.
- Key contact for liaison with regulators, ensuring maintenance of good relationship and regulatory permissions remain current and appropriate for business needs.
- Define and implement a compliance monitoring methodology to appropriately address the regulatory risks faced by the business and carryout regular monitoring in accordance with such.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments and advising the firm accordingly.
- MLRO for the firm, ensuring business activities are conducted in conformity with applicable AML laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a comprehensive knowledge of UK & EU regulatory laws and corporate compliance matters generally. While you must have previous experience of Corporate Finance as important will be your desire to work in a small, dedicated team of professionals and your willingness to support others where needed.
This role is offered on a part-time (3 days per week) basis, with 1 day per week in the office and 2 days from home. The business also offers unlimited annual leave days.
Our client has expressed a preference for someone who has already held SFM16/17 but would consider exceptional candidates with a Corporate Finance background who have at least 10 years of Compliance experience but not previously held the controlled functions.
