Overview
THE COMPANY: Our client is a rapidly growing FinTech business that is re-defining how individuals and families connect and engage with their financial life. They are looking to hire a Risk and Compliance Associate for the business – AI experience is highly desirable for this role.
Responsibilities
- As an Associate, you will gain first-hand exposure to the agenda of the FCA. From tracking regulatory developments to researching measures to take to filing regulatory reporting, this role will support relationship with the FCA.
- In addition, you will act as the heart of risk and compliance recordkeeping framework, utilising existing databases and Saas applications as well as new technologies (like LLMs) to create efficiency and smarter solutions for internal and external clients alike
- The Associate will play a leading role in our firm-wide assurance programme and can expecting to be designing and executing business line reviews
- Anti-Money Laundering regulations are a key part of the business’ obligations to the regulator and to society at large. This role will perform a number of key functions connected with our KYC policy, systems, and surveillance.
- Have you thought about developing your writing ability in policies and other communications? We have plenty of opportunities for that. What about honing your public speaking abilities by delivering training to 120+ people? Yep, we’ve got that too.

- You will have the opportunity to make a big impact almost immediately and you will have regular exposure and direct contact with our firm’s senior management
- The Associate will have a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, giving exposure to diverse and interesting subject matter
Experience Required
- AI experience highly desirable.
- 1-4 years of experience in an FCA regulated environment to ensure a foundational understanding of the industry. This will mean you should have a reasonable working knowledge of the broad outlines, nature, products, and key features of the UK savings and investment market in the UK
- You will have a 2:1 or higher degree with an excellent dissertation mark (or equivalent).
- You are an energetic self-starter who thrives on autonomy and is adept at prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
- You possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and are highly responsive.
- You are an effective collaborator, confident working as part of a team that is building a business.
- You have a keen eye for detail and find satisfaction in completing tasks and ticking off lists.
