THE COMPANY:

Our client is an international financial services company focusing on wholesale and corporate banking activities.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and Manage the Financial Crime Team.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Financial Crime Framework.
  • Responsible for the financial crime risk assessment
  • Oversee AML, CFT, sanctions, fraud prevention and customer due diligence activities
  • Review regulatory publications, enforcement actions and lessons learnt from industry events
  • Responsible for the financial crime elements within the Compliance Monitoring plan, ensuring monitoring tasks are risk based and effective.
  • Provide regulatory advice and guidance to business on financial crime matters in addition to any other relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Work will relevant stakeholders and implement regulatory developments.
  • Lead the preparation for the Branch’s MLRO report
  • Manage Financial crime related audit findings, investigations and review and any remediation activities.
  • Prepare Management information and governance reporting.
  • Oversee financial crime training and awareness
  • Support new business initiatives, products and services by providing financial crime advice and assessment.
  • Monitor effectiveness of Financial Crime systems and controls
  • Develop and maintain financial Crime policies, procedures and controls.
  • Work closely with Global Compliance office ensuring that London Financial Crime framework is aligned to Head Office global standards where relevant and feasible
  • Escalate material matters in a timely manner to MLRO
  • Undertake such other duties and responsibilities

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Strong Knowledge of UK Financial Crime legalisation and UK regulatory Framework
  • Minimum of 10 years of strong financial crime experience gained in within a UK regulated whole bank
  • Previous experience of DMLRO and managing a team
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
