Our client is a global financial institution dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to the highest standards of regulatory compliance. The role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and monitoring of the Compliance and Financial Crime frameworks, acting as the deputy for MLRO responsibilities.

Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO) Responsibilities:

  • Assist the MLRO in managing the Branch’s financial crime and anti-money laundering (AML) obligations.
  • Assist in the monitoring and review of transactions for potential money laundering or terrorist financing activities, including sanctions and PEP screening processes.
  • Respond to escalations regarding suspicious transactions and sanctions screening.
  • Provide leadership within the financial crime function, influences and challenges stakeholders on AML, CTF and sanctions matters.
  • Assist in filing suspicious activity reports (SARs) with the National Crime Agency (NCA) in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the MLRO in responding to internal reports of suspicious transactions.
  • Ensure the Branch’s sanctions compliance with the relevant UK regulators and authorities, including HM Treasury, the EU, and the UN.
  • Assist in conducting sanctions searches.
