Our client is an international banking organisation based in the City. They are looking for a Compliance Manager to join the Business on a permanent basis.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deputise for the Head of Compliance and MLRO as required
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of annual monitoring programmes
- Monitor and report on the business' compliance with prevailing regulation and legislation
- Carry out annual reviews of the Consumer Duty framework.
- Conduct annual policy reviews of Compliance owned Policies
- Provide advice to the business with regard to Compliance
- Ensure procedures, systems and controls are up to date, are effective and comply with the relevant regulations.
- Monitor and manage regulatory and industry changes and evaluate the impact of such changes
- Develop KPI's and other relevant MI
- Assist with drafting reports to senior management and Board committees.
- Ensure regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.
- When required, support compliance related projects
- Contribute to the Compliance team responsibilities for the development of New Products or changes to existing products.
- Assist with Compliance remediation and other ad-hoc projects.
- Assist with the review and sign-off of Financial Promotions.
- Devise and deliver Compliance to 1st line teams as required.
- Arrange meetings, including obtaining reports, disseminating these, producing minutes of meetings, and overseeing an action tracker.
- To support project related assignments.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Strong experience in Compliance and Banking from a regulatory compliance perspective
- Experience of working in a Retail banking environment - with a knowledge of consumer duty
- Relevant recognised Compliance and Financial Crime qualifications desirable.
- Very good knowledge of UK FCA/PRA regulatory obligations and some knowledge of UK AML and Terrorist Finance regulatory framework.
- A good understanding of retail banking products and relevant regulations
- Strong communication and report writing skills
