Position requires someone working in a law firm environment. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented CDD and Conflicts Analyst to join a busy compliance team within a leading international law firm. This is a broad and varied role that combines day-to-day regulatory work with involvement in wider compliance projects. You will play a key part in ensuring the firm meets its regulatory obligations while supporting fee earners and partners across the business. The position offers excellent exposure to anti-money laundering, conflicts, and broader compliance matters in a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess incoming client and matter submissions to confirm all necessary information is complete and aligned with regulatory standards, working closely with fee earners to resolve any gaps.
  • Evaluate conflict search requests to detect potential legal or commercial conflicts, providing clear advice and recommendations to partners.
  • Carry out PEP, sanctions and background screening, guiding fee earners on appropriate next steps where issues arise.
  • Examine escrow agreements through a compliance lens and deliver practical recommendations.
  • Oversee and keep up to date key internal registers covering process agency work, gifts and hospitality, data protection, PEPs and heightened-risk matters.
  • Handle a range of day-to-day compliance enquiries.
  • Contribute to training delivery across the firm.
  • Assist the wider compliance team with both ongoing and one-off projects.

Experience Required:

  • Practical experience conducting client due diligence on both individuals and corporate entities (prior law firm exposure is essential).
  • Experience of sanctions work is required.
  • Excellent organisational ability and a meticulous eye for detail.
