A prestigious private bank with a significant and growing presence in the UK is seeking a Governance, MI and Reporting Officer on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business co-ordination for Compliance and Financial Crime to ensure that management information, KRI’s and KPI’s are collated, drafted and prepared for the governance committees within the UK and entities in other jurisdictions
- Track committee and board meetings
- Collate information from the Compliance teams for reporting
- Take ownership for the provision, development and enhancement of all reporting undertaken by Compliance
- Work closely with the Compliance ExCo leads to track and monitor the deliverables within the Annual Compliance plan
- Work with the other members of the Compliance team to ensure a full schedule of required activities (e.g. updating of relevant documentation, making regulatory returns and preparing required reports) is maintained throughout the year
- Update and maintain the regulatory reporting logs and tracking submissions of regulatory returns
- Track and co-ordinate the regulatory correspondence including regulatory visits and external auditors
- Assist in the tracking and co-ordination of Internal Audit Actions
- Track contents for regular and ad-hoc Compliance communications to the business
- Collate the material for annual compliance training and assisting in the co-ordination of the training plan
- Assist in maintaining the regulatory change trackers and actions
- Support in the allocation of the regulatory change publications across the bank forum and collate impact assessments and ongoing actions for presentation in the Legal and Regulatory Committee
- Oversight of UK Compliance Inbox
- Assist the Head of Monitoring in chairing the firms policy committee to ensure policies are approved in line with the documented governance process.
About You
- Good financial services experience including a good understanding of the Financial Services activities (banking, investment management, wealth management and Asset Management)
- Factual analysis and report writing skills
- Ability to assess and analyse changes in laws and regulations
- High level of competence in Microsoft Office packages, notably Excel.
- Knowledge of products services and front office
- Good knowledge and understanding of control and reporting tools
