THE COMPANY

We have been instructed by one of our wholesale banking clients, they are looking for a Compliance Communications Monitoring Analyst/Officer to assist on the implementation programme of a new communications monitoring system

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration of the current Communication Monitoring Tool
  • Troubleshoot and investigate screening issues identified by the Compliance Team and coordinate with technical (IT) and 3rd Party resources to resolve.
  • Make proposals to optimise the existing screening algorithms and lexicons.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance analysis on the current monitoring process.
  • Support the project to define and investigate alternative solutions
  • Leverage the Business Requirements Document and engage with IT to evaluate technology propositions
  • Proactively manage and maintain effective relationships, communication, collaboration
  • Support in the Calibration, testing and optimisation of the surveillance platforms and lexicons.
  • Promptly report any identified high-risk findings or incidents for immediate attention.
  • Review and update the Branch Communications Monitoring Policy & Procedures and map to the monitoring solution.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Proven capability in advising on regulatory requirements for communications surveillance by banks
  • Strong communications monitoring experience from a systems testing/implementation background ideally
  • Communication Monitoring System implementation and/or testing experience
  • Experience with high data volumes and false positive interpretations
  • Experience in using an automated communication monitoring tools
  • Able to present meaningful MI
  • Experience in research using qualitative and quantitative analysis methods:
  • Strong data investigation and problem-solving skills including the ability to frame ambiguous issues.
