THE COMPANY: We have been instructed by an international banking group who specialise in wholesale banking activities. They are looking for a Compliance Assurance Officer.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide the branch staff with practical advice and guidance in relation to applicable laws, regulations and UK regulatory expectations.
- Assist Compliance and other departments with their implementation plans for internal policy and procedure changes.
- Support the Compliance department’s maintenance of an annual monitoring programme.
- Maintain Compliance registers and support Compliance in the preparation of Compliance reports for management.
- Documentation of identified risks and follow-up of agreed measures on allocated tasks.
- Maintain technical and soft skills to the level necessary to effectively discharge the obligations and responsibilities of the Compliance Assurance Officer.
- Support compliance team in other ad hoc duties.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience in a regulatory compliance role in a small or medium sized Bank or sell side organisation.
- Experience of presenting at meetings in both a written and verbal format.
- Experience of leading or providing support in project related work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including the ability to produce written reports with MI/data analysis and visualisation.
