RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviewing alerts generated daily by the transaction monitoring system and determining whether further investigation is required.
  • Performing preliminary investigations by analysing customer and transaction data and escalating where required.
  • Liaising with Account Executives and other departments to obtain additional information to conclude alerts.
  • Concluding alerts by documenting a concise and clear rationale for closure.
  • Drafting internal suspicious activity reports.
  • Providing support to the business and other departments by responding to queries and requests for information.
  • Supporting with the development of new transaction monitoring scenarios.
  • Supporting with tuning and testing of existing transaction monitoring scenarios.
  • Supporting with the implementation of enhancements to transaction monitoring systems and controls.
  • Supporting with gathering information on new or emerging financial crime risks and determining whether enhancements to transaction monitoring scenarios are required.
  • Drafting updates to procedure and process documentation.
  • Supporting with the creation and distribution of management information.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity across systems.
  • Supporting with other ad-hoc duties and projects where required.
  • Keeping up to date with changes to anti-financial crime law, regulation and industry guidance.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Office based role - must be willing to work full time in office.
  • Financial crime advisory and generalist experience and Transaction Monitoring experience.
  • Experienced in analysing information, identifying risks and making recommendations.
  • Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and prioritising activities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
