Essential requirements
We are looking for someone who is familiar with investment products and financial planning terminology and who has worked in an administrative or support capacity in the investment or financial advice sector.
Internally, this role is called Senior Business Support Adviser.
- Support the delivery of core services including Fit & Proper Checks, Criminal Record Checks and Credit Checks, producing reports to a high standard.
- Support the administration of the Training & Competency service, including data collation and reporting
- Maintain accurate records and management information
- Respond to member queries via phone and email, providing a high level of customer service
- Carry out quality checks to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Support the team with general administrative tasks and process improvements
- Assist with internal reporting and tracking of service activity
- Contribute to maintaining clear and accurate procedures
- Help mentor and coach more junior team member
- Support the delivery of the Academy, proactively identifying opportunities with members and conducting discovery calls where appropriate.
- Support the Business Support Manager in driving process efficiencies, constructively challenging existing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Support the Business Support Manager in enhancing team product knowledge to deliver the best possible outcomes for members through continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a key point of contact during periods when the Business Support Manager is on annual leave.
- Experience working in a compliance admin or business operations position in the financial advice, wealth or investment sectors.
- Knowledge of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR)
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, including relationship building and problem solving.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

- Good IT skills, including MS Office and back-office systems.

This is a hybrid role based at our Hamilton Office, Prospect House, Blantyre, Glasgow. You'll work in the office along side team colleagues 3 times each week: Tuesday to Thursday.
