We are recruiting experienced 7.5T Drivers for a specialist stone and surface distribution operation based in Hemel Hempstead (HP2). This role involves delivering high-value marble, granite, quartz and porcelain products to customers across London and surrounding areas. This is an ongoing opportunity offering consistent weekday work with immediate starts available.
Role: 7.5T Driver (C1)
Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (occasional weekends available)
Start Time: 08:00 AM on first induction day
Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 8.5 hours per shift
Break: 30-minute unpaid break
PAY
- Standard Rate
- Weekday (Mon-Fri) Basic Hourly Rate: £17.50
- Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £2.44
- Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £19.94
- Overtime: Not applicable
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Completing point-to-point deliveries of marble, granite, quartz and porcelain products
- Delivering across London and surrounding areas
- Completing approximately 16 deliveries per shift
- Ensuring loads are strapped and secured correctly before transport
- Driving curtain-sided vehicles safely and professionally
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Maintaining communication with the transport team throughout shifts
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Full UK 7.5T (C1) Licence
- Valid CPC Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Curtain-side vehicle experience preferred
- Experience securing and strapping loads beneficial
- Reliable, careful and professional attitude
- Good communication skills and common sense essential
