We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a well-established pallet distribution company based in Wimbledon (SW19). This role involves multi-drop palletised deliveries and collections to commercial customers throughout London and the surrounding areas. We are looking for drivers available for both ad-hoc shifts and ongoing assignments, with immediate starts available.

Role: HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C)

Contract Type: Temporary / Ad-hoc / Ongoing

Location: Wimbledon (SW19)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (additional shifts may be available)

Start Times: Various start times available

PAY

  • Standard Rate Weekday (Mon-Fri) Basic Hourly Rate: £18.00
  • Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £2.51
  • Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £20.51
  • Overtime: Not applicable
  • Pay Frequency: Weekly

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

  • Completing multi-drop pallet deliveries and collections
  • Transporting general haulage goods to commercial customers
  • Loading and unloading using pallet trucks and tail lifts where required
  • Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently
  • Completing delivery paperwork and PODs accurately
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
  • Following UK Road Laws and Working Time Regulations

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
  • Valid CPC Card
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
  • Previous pallet network or general haulage experience beneficial
  • Good knowledge of London and surrounding routes
  • Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
