7.5T DRIVER / REMOVALS OPERATIVE BASINGSTOKE (RG25) We are recruiting an experienced and reliable 7.5T Driver / Removals Operative for a growing storage and removals operation based near Basingstoke (RG25) . This is a varied, hands-on role combining professional 7.5T driving with removals, loading and unloading, customer service and general operational support. The successful candidate will play an important part in the day-to-day running of the operation. This is a long-term opportunity with a permanent / temp-to-perm arrangement for the right candidate. Role: 7.5T Driver / Removals Operative Contract Type: Permanent / Temp to Perm Location: Basingstoke (RG25) Vehicle: 7.5T PAY Standard Rate Basic Hourly Rate: £17.00 Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £2.37 Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £19.37 Pay Frequency: Weekly RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES Driving a 7.5T vehicle safely and professionally Collecting and delivering customers' belongings Working as part of a removals team to load and unload goods Safely handling furniture, household items and other customer belongings Deconstructing and reconstructing furniture where required Securing loads correctly for transportation Using appropriate manual handling and safe lifting techniques Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, presentable and well maintained Preparing the vehicle for scheduled inspections where required Planning journeys and routes effectively Providing professional and friendly customer service Wearing the required uniform and PPE Supporting the wider depot operation during quieter periods ADDITIONAL DUTIES DURING QUIETER PERIODS As this is a varied role within a growing operation, the successful candidate may also assist with other business activities when driving and removals work is quieter, including: Supporting local marketing and promotional activities Distributing promotional materials in approved locations Assisting with local research and operational tasks Supporting community and charity initiatives where required Assisting with other reasonable depot duties to support the operation EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Full UK 7.5T (C1) Licence Valid Driver CPC Card Valid Digital Tachograph Card Previous 7.5T driving experience Previous removals, home delivery or similar experience advantageous Physically fit and comfortable with regular manual handling Good understanding of vehicle safety and daily checks Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable, punctual and professional attitude Flexible approach to duties and willingness to support the wider operation Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team BENEFITS Long-term opportunity Permanent / temp-to-perm position £19.37 per hour inclusive of rolled-up holiday pay Weekly pay during the temporary assignment Varied role combining driving, removals and operational duties Opportunity to become part of a growing operation APPLY TODAY Send us your CV or text your full name and 7.5T RG25 to 07485 442 284 , and one of our team will call you back to discuss the opportunity TPBN1_UKTJ
