We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Developer to join our growing team. This entry-level position offers excellent opportunities for career development and hands-on experience across both software development and IT support.

The role is hybrid in nature: you will work on Proclaim case management development, contribute to the development of modern web applications, and support general IT infrastructure and helpdesk activities. You will report to the Head of IT and receive mentorship and training while gaining exposure to a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customise solutions within the Proclaim case management system to meet business requirements
  • Contribute to the design and development of web applications, including frontend and backend components.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment
  • Write clean, maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Contribute to code reviews and collaborative development processes
  • Help maintain and support existing applications and systems.
  • Provide helpdesk support for staff, troubleshooting issues and assisting with PC setup/configuration. (Might involve fixing a printer every now and then)
  • Assist with infrastructure support including Microsoft Entra and related IT systems.
  • Bring a fresh set of eyes and forward-thinking ideas.

Learning & Development

  • Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and development methodologies
  • Build skills in both software engineering and IT operations.
  • Genuine passion for technology and strong interest in pursuing a career in software development
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Strong foundation in programming fundamentals, relational and non-relational databases, and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Problem-solving ability, attention to detail and a positive, proactive mindset.
  • Evidence of self-directed learning through personal projects, online courses, or self-study.
  • Experience with Proclaim case management system or similar legal software (comprehensive training will be provided regardless of experience level)
  • Formal qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Knowledge of LLM’s and CLI coding tools (Codex, Claude code, etc).
  • Understanding of agile development methodologies, DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Previous internship or work experience in software development
  • Understanding of legal sector workflows and case management processes
