We are seeking a motivated NQ Solicitor to 1 year PQE to join our busy Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment, working on a varied caseload of contentious matters and assisting senior members of the team on more complex disputes as well as providing support and guidance to junior members of the team. This is a full time on site role for a Solicitor based in Liverpool. The ideal candidate needs to be IT literate to include Word, Excel and Outlook and knowledge of the case management system Proclaim would be a benefit. Suitable candidates will have trained and gained experience in the litigation sector as the position will be working across areas such as fraud, property disputes, housing disrepair, landlord and tenant issues and commercial litigation. Day to day responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload from initial instruction through to conclusion.
- Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, correspondence and client care letters.
- Undertake legal research to support case strategy and progression.
- Attend court hearings, client meetings and conferences as required.
- Negotiate settlements and liaise with opposing parties and their legal representatives.
- Ensure full compliance with SRA standards, GDPR, firm policies and all other applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Carry out general administrative duties including accurate time recording, file maintenance and responding to routine correspondence.
- Provide supervision, support and informal mentoring to trainees and paralegals.
- Assist in the development of team members by identifying training needs and contributing to a supportive learning environment.
- Support team leaders and partners with departmental objectives, including contributing to team meetings and strategic discussions.
