Complex Care Professionals Ltd is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality care. The role involves overseeing office and care staff in all day-to-day affairs and helping develop the longer-term ambitions of the business.
Purpose of the role: To oversee the day-to-day delivery of high-quality dignified homecare services promoting respect, equality, and the independence of our clients. The Registered Manager is directly accountable to the Director and to the Care Quality Commission.
The Registered Manager is to:
- Lead Complex Care Professionals office and care staff in providing an exceptional quality of service to its clients.
- Play a key role in contributing to operational and strategic plans.
- Manage day-to-day care operations.
- Ensure quality control.
- Represent Complex Care Professionals in the public arena.
- Meet all regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff to deliver a quality care service.
- Maintain and improve internal operations for clear and efficient processes.
- Ensure that staff rota is fully maintained for continuous service delivery.
- Regularly review and develop policies and procedures to reflect changes and current legislation.
Leading and managing staff:
- Interview prospective care worker candidates and coordinate inductions for new staff.
- Manage and coordinate training for all staff in collaboration with senior management.
- Manage staffing levels to ensure sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff.
- Effectively manage staff providing information, guidance, and ongoing supervision.
- Implement company policies regarding absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
- Ensure all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively.
- Take an equal share of the on-call responsibilities during evenings and weekends.
Quality control:
- Continually evaluate the quality of service provided in the office and in clients' homes.
- Enhance systems used to gauge quality, developing key performance indicators.
- Measure and report performance against agreed indicators to support staff improvement.
- Provide financial oversight of daily expenses ensuring projects are within budgets.
- Verify care information for client invoices and staff payroll is accurate and timely.
- Provide checks to minimise the possibility of financial abuse for at-risk clients.
- Assess office staff through a formal appraisal system at 6-monthly intervals.
- Guide personal and professional development and organise team training.
Public representation:
- Attend meetings, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote services.
- Be the professional focus for services regarding client enquiries and visitors.
- Ensure the company remains at the forefront of community care services.
Regulatory compliance:
- Apply to the CQC for approval as the Official Registered Manager.
- Undertake required qualifications and training to act as Registered Manager.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations.
Skills, knowledge, experience, and personal qualities required:
- A recognised management qualification (e.g., NVQ5) or work towards it in a relevant timeframe.
- Knowledge of the national policy agenda relating to community care and regulation of care services.
- Experience of working with care planning and rotas.
- Experience of managing budgets and financial information.
- A full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
- A people person with leadership qualities.
- A creative thinker with a positive approach who is responsive to change.
