We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school environment in Swindon. This temporary, weekday-only role is perfect for someone eager to make a positive impact on students’ learning—without weekend commitments.
Role Overview
In this rewarding position, you’ll provide classroom and community-based support, assist with personalised learning plans, and help create a positive, inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support across a variety of subjects
- Assist with classwork, homework, and exam preparation
- Help set, monitor, and review individual student targets
- Deliver tailored interventions based on student needs
- Support learning both in the classroom and during off-site activities
- Act as a key worker for designated pupils
- Assist with lunch, break, and on-call supervision
- Promote safeguarding and student wellbeing
What We’re Looking For
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
- Experience working with children or young people in education, care, or community settings
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and basic digital tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
- Desirable: Experience supporting autistic students
- Desirable: Experience assisting with STEM subjects
