We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school in High Wycombe. This temporary weekday-only role is perfect for someone eager to make a real difference in students’ learning—without weekend commitments.
In this rewarding position, you’ll provide classroom and community-based support, help deliver personalised learning plans, and contribute to a positive, inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and small group support across various subjects
Assist with classwork, homework, and exam preparation
Help set and monitor individual student targets
Deliver tailored interventions based on student needs
Support learning in the classroom and during off-site activities
Act as a key worker for designated pupils
Assist with lunch, break, and on-call cover
Promote safeguarding and student wellbeing
Requirements
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
Experience working with children or young people in education, care, or community settings
Confident using Microsoft Office and basic digital tools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive, flexible, and team-focused attitude
Desirable
Experience supporting autistic students
Experience assisting with STEM subjects
