We’re seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school in Milton Keynes. This temporary, weekday-only role is perfect for someone passionate about making a meaningful impact on students’ learning without weekend commitments.
Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support students both in the classroom and beyond, assist with personalised learning plans, and help foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and small group support across various subjects
Assist with classwork, homework, and exam preparation
Help set, track, and review individual student targets
Deliver tailored interventions to meet student needs
Support learning in-class and during off-site activities
Act as a key worker for designated pupils
Assist with lunch, break, and on-call supervision
Uphold safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing
What We’re Looking For
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
Experience working with children or young people in education, care, or community settings
Confidence with Microsoft Office and basic digital tools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset
Desirable:
Experience supporting autistic students
Experience assisting with STEM subjects
