  • We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join the team at a 3 bed Residential Children’s Home working with Learning Disability and Physical Disability, the salary is £28,000 plus sleep in allowance. This is highly rewarding role working in a great team with many benefits.

    You will be undertaking the role of shift leading by supporting your colleagues to provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment for children and young people and contribute to the day to day running of the home and ensure the home remains compliant at all times. You will b taking a lead with case / care planning management for individual children or young people, undertaking assessment of need, developing a care plan, identifying agreed outcomes

    You will be leading and working on shifts with accountability for service delivery, assessing and managing risks, deploying staff and resources accordingly while on shift. You will support children and young people in all aspects of their care personal care, administration of medication and clinical procedures. You will link working with young people (managing paperwork and files), whilst taking a lead role in organising activities. You will be knowledgeable and responsible for the safeguarding of young people and an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people.

    About You:

    A minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent such as level 3 Health and Social Care Children and Young People’s pathway.
    Previous experience in residential care is desirable but not essential.
    Excellent interpersonal skills.
    Previous experience in leading shifts, team leader and supervising staff.
    Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
    A real compassionate and positive attitude is a MUST.
    A positive approach, providing a fun environment for all the children in our care.
